I can see benefits for standardation in terms of IEMT manuals, as well as limitations. Gut feeling says it’s a good idea.
A “standard core” for the manuals that permit for some additions and variations by trainers could be advantageous too – please bear in mind that many of the trainers train to specific groups and organisations, and so there are additional requirements such an increased emphasis on PTSD.
Comparable courses such as the coaching course accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management have an 80% fixed content format with 20% of content being of the trainers own choice.
Would like to hear other’s view on this please.
Good point, thanks.
I tend to tweak my manual for almost every course. All of the core stuff is there and have added much more including appendices with case studies, contraindications, an exercise we do on extracting POC & identity issues from the questionnaire and info on joining the Association, I also send them out as PDF’s now and provide worksheets for everything else. Works much better and saves on so much paper as my manual is rather large. Did send you a manual a few months back when you asked for stuff for CPD and my presentation and my case study guidance manual that everyone gets prior to the training as a PDF. I don’t think you ever downloaded them from We Transfer.
