Accuracy and Bias Policy
This policy applies to all pages within the Human Biome and The Vagus Nerve sections of this website.
Educational and professional scope
Information in these sections is provided for education and professional discussion. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and does not replace advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Our approach
The Association for IEMT Practitioners recognises that science is an evolving process. Knowledge changes as new evidence emerges, and interpretations of data can differ among researchers and practitioners. We aim to represent information accurately, transparently and in good faith, while encouraging informed discussion and the ongoing refinement of understanding.
Open Dialogue and Contrasting Views
We welcome reasoned, evidence-based discussion and the presentation of contrary or alternative viewpoints. Not all scientific topics, particularly those relating to the human biome and the vagus nerve and their connection to emotional wellbeing, represent “settled science.” Different studies may produce different conclusions, and we aim to reflect this diversity of perspective, not to impose a single authoritative stance.
Comment Contributions
Readers and practitioners are encouraged to submit observations, clarifications and references directly in the comments section beneath each page. Submissions that expand understanding, challenge assumptions or correct inaccuracies are highly valued.
Standards of Conduct
- Respectful and courteous: personal criticism, sarcasm or inflammatory language will not be published.
- Evidence-based: claims should include references or links to credible research, data or professional sources.
- Constructive: submissions should aim to clarify, inform or expand upon the subject matter rather than assert unsubstantiated opinion.
Editorial Responsibility
We review all comments to maintain factual integrity and uphold professional standards of discussion. Edits or retractions may occur where substantial evidence warrants correction or clarification.
